As well the world class badminton on-court, there is lots to enjoy off-court too at the YONEX All England 2016. Below are details of some of the activities fans can enjoy throughout the 2016 Championships.




The 2016 Championships will not only be showcasing the world’s best badminton but also some great local music talent on the concourse for the hour before play starts each day.

All the new world leading Yonex equipment and apparel will be available to buy on the ‘Yonex High Street‘ as well as a range of event souvenirs.



The YONEX All England and the Olympic Games have hosted some fantastic rivalries over the years. This year, we bring to life the head-to-head battles between some of these great badminton rivals. Visit the AV zone on the concourse and immerse yourself in some historic on-court action – open every day of the Championships.



Meet the stars! Player autograph and photo sessions will be held on the concourse intermittently throughout the week of the Championships.

#YonexAllEngland – use this hashtag to share your experience of the event and see your photos on the arena screen. On Saturday and Sunday only – share using this hashtag and your photos will be displayed on our huge #Wall on the concourse and you can claim your free souvenir print.

The YONEX All England is crucial for the world’s best to add to their Olympic qualification points. To celebrate this and to support players on #EVERYROADtoRIO there will be a beach badminton court where fans can pick up a rackets and have-a-go themselves.

Workshop 1 – Volunteering in badminton

Date: Tuesday 8 March 2016

Time: 1pm – 2pm

Synopsis – Volunteers help make badminton happen in Engand! Fixtures, events and clubs, they all rely on volunteers! This workshop provides advice and inspiration to recruit, retain and motivate committed volunteers.

Workshop 2 – Facilities & Funding

Date: Wednesday 9 March 2016

Time: 1pm – 2pm

Synopsis – Every Badminton club could do with more money for their activities and access to improved facilities. This workshop provides practical information and advice about how to get money from grant schemes and funders such like Sport England or the National Lottery and advice around facility applications. This workshop will cover some top tips for successful applications, potential sources of funding and where to go for further funding advice and support.

Workshop 3 – Ask the Team – Future Strategy

Date: Thursday 10 March 2016

Time: 1pm – 2pm

Synopsis – This workshop offers delegates the opportunity to discuss a range of topics with members of Badminton England’s Regional teams in a friendly and informal environment. Subjects covered during the workshop could include: Strategy direction, the role of County Badminton Associations, supporting clubs, work in schools, and more.
