Boe & Mogensen Celebrating the Top 5 Badminton events of 2013

There are lots of things within the badminton world to get excited about in 2013.  Here is just a taster of what we can expect in the coming year as to the top 5 reasons to be excited about badminton in 2013:

1. Grand Prix Gold Circuit arrives in England

The Grand Prix Gold circuit makes its debut appearance in London from the 1-6 October 2013 and this annual event will be held at the Copper Box on the Olympic Park, which promises even more intensity and excitement than ever before.  Tickets for the event go on sale at the end of January 2013.

 

2. World Championships hosted in China

After skipping a world championships in 2012 due to the Olympic Games taking place, the coveted title is back and being staged in Guangzhou, China from 4-11 August 2013.  Will the current Olympic Champions repeat their performances this past summer to also become World Champions?

 

3. Yonex Celebrating 30 years of sponsoring the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships

A milestone in badminton sponsorship as Yonex celebrates its 30th year of sponsoring the most prestigious Championships on the Superseries Premier circuit.  The event has changed a lot since 1983 and we look forward to celebrating with Yonex in 2013.

 

4. Line Call Technology to be Tried and Tested
The equivalent to Hawk-Eye in Tennis is being trialed by the Badminton World Fedration in ensure the game is taken seriously and played fairly.
