Badminton England, event hosts of the YONEX All England, are delighted to unveil three-time champion, and former world number one, Tine Baun, as the 2018 guest of honour for our hugely popular ‘Breakfast of Champions’ VIP hospitality experience.
Fans can upgrade into an exclusive opportunity to meet Tine, a former world number, at an intimate hosted hospitality event in which the Danish legend will share memories from her career, talk of her love of the YONEX All England and take Q&A from guests.
Guests will also enjoy a champagne reception and luxury, gourmet breakfast and photo opportunities with Tine before enjoying the finals weekend at the 108th Championships (17-18 March) from the best seats in the arena.
Baun (nee Rasmussen), who won the YONEX All England Women’s Singles title three times between 2008-2013, is the latest in a long line of legends who have been guest of honour at the limited edition, often sell out, VIP experiences.
As a three time Olympian, four time YONEX All England finalist, 10 time Denmark national champion and world tour winner in Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore and Denmark, Tine is held in the highest esteem by the global badminton family.
Her 2013 YONEX All England win at Arena Birmingham lives long in the memory – it came on the occasion of her final appearance on the world circuit. There were tears a plenty as she lifted the trophy aloft, draped in her Denmark flag.
It was a fitting farewell and finale to a glittering career spanning 13 years at world class level. Her record against the world’s best players in a golden era for the sport is exemplary.
